Clio Montrey

Clio Montrey is a versatile composer and mezzo-soprano.  She earned her undergraduate degree from McGill University Graduate (B.Mus. Honours “08), studying composition with Jean Lesage, Brian Cherney and Jonathan Wild, and piano with Tom Plaunt. Further studies at the Konservatorium Wien University (the Conservatory in Vienna, Austria) led to a Master’s degree in composition with Christian Minkowitsch (2011) and a diploma in classical operetta singing with Wolfgang Dosch (2012). Her commissioned works have been performed at numerous venues all over the world, including the Vienna Musikverein, as well as featured on Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) radio.
