Alex Temple’s music lies somewhere between Surrealism and Pop Art, using iconic musical and textual materials to evoke clusters of associations while distorting and recombining them in order to create new meanings. In addition to collaborating with a variety of performers and ensembles, including Mellissa Hughes, Timothy Andres, the American Composers Orchestra, the Chicago Composers Orchestra and Fifth House Ensemble, Alex also does eerie electronic storytelling and plays spiky chamber-rock with the Sissy-Eared Mollycoddles. Alex is currently living in Chicago, working on a DM at Northwestern University, and writing an opera about TV production company closing logos and the end of the world.
