Brian Blume is an Assistant Professor of Percussion at Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL, where he runs the percussion studio and teaches music theory and world music. In 2014 Blume started the university’s first ever drumline, called the Fireline. His compositions for percussion have been performed at the Midwest Clinic, Percussive Arts Society International Convention, and at universities and high schools around the world. His work for TV broadcast has aired on ESPN, CBS MTV, and Big Ten Network. Blume earned both BM and MM degrees in performance at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.
