Christopher LaRosa’s music dramatically integrates melodic lyricism, rhythmic vitality, harmonic color and timbral shadings. Born and raised in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, Christopher’s small town upbringing provides his music with an intimate and American style. His music has been performed throughout the continental U.S., Austria, and Mexico by ensembles such as the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, the “President’s Own” United States Marine Band, the Boston New Music Initiative, and CEPROMUSIC. Also a pianist, Christopher frequently performs his own chamber music. Christopher completed his Master of Music at Boston University, Bachelor of Music at Ithaca College, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Music Composition at Indiana University.
