Daniel Gilliam is a composer of art songs, choral, orchestra, and chamber music. Current commissions include a song cycle for baritone Nathan Wilson on poems of Kentuckian Jesse Stuart, and a song cycle for soprano and wind ensemble commissioned by the University of Minnesota. Most recently, Gilliam’s songs were performed by tenor Christopher Lorge as part of Center City Opera Theater’s “Art Songs for the 21st Century.
