David Werfelmann (b. 1983) is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in composition at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, where he also teaches a variety of music classes. His music has been performed by, among others, the Hilliard Ensemble, the What’s Next Ensemble, the Zzyzx Saxophone Quartet, and the major orchestras of USC Thornton School of Music, IU Jacobs School of Music, and the Lawrence Conservatory of Music. David’s doctoral recital will take place at 7:30 p.m. on 20 September 2012 at the Alfred Newman Recital Hall on the USC campus and is free and open to the public.
