Elizabeth Knudson is a freelance composer, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She holds a BFA from Simon Fraser University, and a M.Mus. from the University of British Columbia, and is an Associate Composer of the Canadian Music Centre. One of the major influences in her work is a deep interest in world music. Recent composing highlights include a horn concerto, “Mosaic” performed by Oliver de Clercq, as guest soloist with the Albanian Radio-Television Orchestra (RTSH) in Tirana, Albania. Ms. Knudson is currently working on a new concerto, for jazz trio and orchestra, for premiere with the West Coast Symphony Orchestra, in Vancouver, Canada in June 2016.
