Composer Florie Namir explores possibilities of motivic work, both pitch and rhythmic. Her catalogue of works includes chamber music for different ensembles, as well as a few vocal pieces and two pieces for orchestra. Florie is also a singer-song writer. Native of Israel, where she graduated her Bachelor’s from Tel-Aviv University, she later received her Master’s from Rice University and is presently a Ph.D. candidate at Brandeis University and resides in Boston area.
