Hochman’s compositions reflect a verity of aesthetic approaches and a rare combination between tradition and innovation. In his work, he puts emphasis on themes relating to the Jewish tradition and his Israeli origin, while creating a well-structured contemporary musical language – personal, lyrical and expressive. He was the youngest to be awarded the prestigious Israeli Prime Minister Award at age 24 and is already recognized as “a rising star in the classical music world” (France 24) and as “an already well known classical composer” (BBC).
