Michael Fitch is an American composer whose stylistically diverse music draws inspiration from concert, popular, and improvisatory traditions. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma and a current graduate student at the University of Madison – Wisconsin, his principal teachers include Laura Schwendinger and Marvin Lamb. In addition to collaborations and commissions from performers and choreographers he has also received awards and distinctions from ASCAP, the Oklahoma Composer’s Association, and the University of Oklahoma.
