Michael Goodman, composer, euphoniumist and teacher, received his Master of Music degree and his Bachelor of Music degree in music composition at Michigan State University while studying under Ricardo Lorenz, Jere Hutcheson, Charles Ruggiero, and Mark Sullivan. In addition, Goodman has studied under Joel Hoffman while attending the UPBEAT International Summer School in Milna, Croatia. Goodman currently teaches MUS 131 Understanding Music at Jackson College as an adjunct instructor. He is also a private instructor with a main focus on low brass studies, music theory, and composition.
