Michael Schelle

The music of Michael Schelle has been commissioned and/or performed by over 300 professional orchestras and chamber ensembles across the US and abroad including the Chicago Symphony, Detroit Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic, Milwaukee Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Manhattan Chamber Orchestra, XTET (Los Angeles), the St. Petersburg (Russia) Philharmonic, Kammerorkester Basel, Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional (Costa Rica), the Keonig Ensemble of London, the Spoleto Festival and featured during recent extended residencies at Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music and Nagoya Imperial University in Japan. Schelle is Composer in Residence at the School of Music at Butler University, Indianapolis, and is founder/director of Butler’s notorious Composers Orchestra (new music ensemble).
