Oliver Caplan

With memorable melodies and colorful interplay, American composer Oliver Caplan’s music expresses a deeply felt romanticism.  Oliver’s 2012 debut album “Illuminations” is available on iTunes and Amazon.com.  His music has been commissioned by the Bronx Arts Ensemble, Columbia University Wind Ensemble, Washington & Jefferson College Wind Ensemble, Sinfonietta of Riverdale, Juventas, and Lorelei Ensemble.  His music has also been presented by the Cleveland Contemporary Players and Nebraska Chamber Players, among others. Accolades include the 5th House Ensemble Young Composer Award (2010), a fellowship at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (2011), and ASCAPLUS Awards (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011).  Mr. Caplan holds degrees from the Boston Conservatory and Dartmouth College.
