Rafael Vicole

Rafael VicoleBorn in São Paulo, Brazil, Rafael Vicole obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Composition at UniFIAMFAAM and has been active in composition and conducting since 2006. As a conductor, he has performed recitals in many cities, including Brazil, Zlín Czech Republic. Since 2010 he performs improvement in orchestral conducting with Maestro Kirk Trevor English, having been invited to be the same fellow at the International Institute of Conducting (ICI) to study in the Czech Republic. Has been highlighted in international festivals and received guidance from teachers Netopil Tomas (Czech Republic), Donald Schleicher (University of Illinois-USA), Nicolás Pasquet (Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt-Ale), Neil Thomson (Royal College of Music-Ing ), Dario Sotelo (Brazil) and Julio Medaglia (Brazil).  It was the second finalist Ricardo Rizek composition contest with the song “A” bandona and his composition “Music for five instruments” was premiered in 2011 in the city of Oradea in Romania. His arrangements have been interpreted by artists such as: Metropolitan Orchestra, Camerata Vitta, Silviane Belato, Marcelo Vanucci, Gilberto Chaves, Santa’s Big Band among others.
