Roger Aldridge is primarily a jazz composer. An exceptionally wide range of styles are found in his music including tango, blues, samba, contemporary classical, and back to American roots music. Roger studied jazz composition at Berklee College of Music and received a B.A. in composition from McKendree University and a M.A. in composition from New Mexico Highlands University. His primary jazz and classical composition teachers are Herb Pomeroy, Charlie Mariano, Dr. Robert Wykes, Dr. Stephanie Owen, and Dr. Champ Tyrone.
