Sam Kohler began composing in 2007, at the age of 11. Since then he has composed over 50 works, from symphonies to piano pieces to works in his own new genre, Synchromy. Nine of his works have received premieres as of Spring 2014, including concerts in New Orleans, Oberlin College, Atlanta, and Vancouver, BC. Since 2013 he has led his own Ensemble, the Sam Kohler New Music Ensemble, to perform his own music and that of his friends.
