Troy Armstrong (b.1990, Tulsa, OK) is a composer, arranger, and conductor currently based in Overland Park, Kansas. His music has best been described as “sophisticated yet accessible at the same time.” Troy constantly strives to merge his love of traditional harmonies with his fascination over contemporary techniques and textures.Troy is a member of ASCAP and the Pi Kappa Lambda music honors society and recently graduated summa cum laude from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Music degree in composition. His past teachers include Frank Ticheli, Morten Lauridsen, Stephen Hartke, Donald Crockett, and Erica Muhl.
